ABOUT ISABEL...

Isabel de León is in the eighth grade (2007). She wishes to start high school. Isabel understands the value of education and she is willing to work hard at it. Currently, she is struggling with concentrating at school because of the personal pressure of feeling she needs to start work to help her parents financially. Sponsorship has offset her school costs, helping the family to support her continuation in school.

Isabel has four siblings, Alan Johnny, Jenny and little Marco (see family photo including mother father, grandfather, and grandmother).

Carlos de la Rosa and Claudia Nocke live on Catalina Island where Carlos is the Chief Conservation Officer for the Catalina Island Conservancy. Claudia is a spectacular wildlife artist, on the island, drawing the native fox, eagle squirrel, and the imported buffalo. Carlos is originally from Venezuela, and Claudia, from Germany.
