New Initiative - The need for reforestation, live fences, windbreaks, firewood and other wood products can be met through the development of small native tree nurseries, and at the same time provide a business opportunity for community members.

Xela AID will team with local high schools to implement specialized training programs that will instruct budding Future Leaders to gather from the adjacent natural forests (such as the water preserves). Efforts will be dove-tailed with soil conservation, erosion control and surface water protection projects.

Initiation of this exciting new project is pending seed funding from grants, and will partner to initiate this new business through a micro-loan to promote self-investment, pride, ownership and a sustainable model.
