Projects: Weaving Cooperative

Weaving Cooperative

The Nueva Alianza Weaving and Midwife’s Cooperative based in San Martin Chiquito, Guatemala, is headed by Amalia Vasquez, it’s president, who is also Vice President of Associacion Xela Aid, the sister organization of Xela Aid based in Guatemala. Xela Aid USA, one of Xela Aid’s two U.S.-based branches, affords support in terms of the purchase of weavings from the women of Nueva Alianza for sale in the United States. Xela Aid USA volunteers also provide training, equipment support, and more.
